Producer Johnny Sagariga is going to give his Siddique directed Bodyguard a old fashioned release.
He is not going to screen the film in digital format in any of the screens, instead he is releasing the film using conventional celluloid prints!
The Dileep-Nayanthara family entertainer is now releasing on Friday January 22, a day later than the earlier release date announced.
The one day delay in release is due to printing the conventional prints for which the producer has found a sponsor.
The buzz is that Johnny is going for prints instead of digital fearing piracy. Recently a maker of digital prints was caught in Mumbai after the anti-piracy wing of the Maharashtra Police found that a major Hindi film prints piracy took place in that studio.
Meanwhile
Bodyguard is releasing big with 75 prints in 85 screens across Kerala on tomorrow. Most of the theatres are trying to renovate their projectors to use the old conventional print to screen the film.
